The mission of The Shrine on Airline facility and Legends Global (New Orleans) is to provide a high quality facility and campus that promotes event and community connections. Legends Global’s primary objective is to market, sell and manage a multi-purpose facility and campus that provides clients, promoters and event organizers with an avenue for success.

 

The Shrine on Airline facility, located at 6000 Airline Drive in Metairie, first opened its doors on April 11, 1997. Originally known as Zephyr Field, The Shrine on Airline was the home to the AAA New Orleans Zephrys (later re-named the Baby Cakes).

 

The Shrine on Airline campus is a convenient multi-use complex with the ability to host a multitude of events ranging in various scope and size including festivals, soccer matches, high school football games, drive-in shows, consumer events, movie production events, community and hospitality events and large-scale concerts.

 

The stadium itself has featured nearly 10,000 fixed seats, sixteen premium suites (including two VIP’s), adjacent grass spaces and easily accessible entrances. Our five parking lots feature more than 750,000 square feet and nearly 2,200 parking spaces ultimately provide a “blank canvas of sorts” for promoters and event organizers.

 

Legend Global's role is to ensure the facility's events are well planned, permitted and provide a safe and health conscience environment for both patrons and staff/team members.
